I was all excited for the cruise, and then I started thinking about it and realized that my son would have started kindergarden at that time so we have to worry about that.
Mike
PS - still hope to make it as Oct 30 2010 is my 40th birthday, so that'd be a ncie present! LOL

All I remember from kindergarten is playing "Duck, Duck, Goose", having snack time, laying on nap mats and learning simple math. Odds are your son will learn more on the cruise than in school.
I hope you can make it Mike!

I agree . Check him out of school and come with us. I think what he could learn on the ship is far more important than kindergarden or if your worried about it get the work from the teacher and spend a couple of minutes a day on it. Hope to see you there

we had no problem pulling Joey out of kindergarten for our first cruise, (or 1st or 2nd grade for vacation either) I come from a long line of educators - and real life experiences , especially at this age are irreplaceable in the classroom. we visited with the teacher right away to ensure we were on the same page, all they did ask that he keep a "journal" but that was something easy enough that we were planning on anyway.

Plus with the kids club there, who knows what kind of stuff he will come home with.

Yeah, kids pick up all kinds of bugs in the kids club.
And, Eric, I think that Joey, Lucas and Casey could probably give us world peace if we let them.

We now have 8 rooms booked, but I'd like to get some more just to guarantee our group status even if some are cancelled. If anyone knows of anyone else interested in joining us, let me know!
