More pictures from MouseFest - and WDW during the holidays.
The "Rusty Cutlass" in Adventureland -

Kathy Jo!
Thank you, Thank You!, THANK YOU! for posting this picture, it fills in a gap for me, and so, I've got a little story to tell...

this trip to Mousefest I FINALLY got to catch Fire Chief Smokey Miller on Main Street U.S.A.
I caught him doing a GREAT set with the Toontown Tuners, Mayor Weaver and the suffragettes which included a lot of singing...Chief Miller is played by the guy on the far right in the photo you took,
I first became acquainted with him as the MC in the Golden Horseshoe Revue he's also on the far right in the photo below from my site. The day after I caught Chief Miller singing with the tuners I was in the studios with (I thought) a bit of time to kill before pod fest, I thought I'd try to catch some streetmosphere while I waited. I didn't see any streetmosphere on Hollywood Boulevard so I headed up sunset and, as if on queue a guy in a fedora and a 1930's vintage suit walked out in front of me before I got to the intersection at the theatre of the stars. I followed him back up the street to where he was going to set up, he talked to me a bit on the way and he had a sort of NYC accent of some sort, when he picked his spot I sat down on the curb he unfolded a small folding table he had carried out under his arm and set a few small items on it a bell a small silver case and something I didn't see right away which I soon realized was a deck of cards and he introduced himself as Jack Diamond as a crown began to gather about halfway though his first card trick all of a sudden it hit me "Oh my gosh! It's professor Terrance", Professor Terrance is the gentleman on the far left in the Diamond Horseshoe photo below and he did magic and card tricks there as well, I had also heard that he plays a Riverboat Gambler card shark in Liberty Square at the Pirate and Princess parties, but I wondered what he did the rest of the time, so I was quite pleased to see that Disney held onto this talented fellow too.

When I saw your photo of Rusty Cutlass I first realized that the guy who plays Chief Miller (the old Horseshoe MC) was in the group I had heard that he was in a Pirate Band at the P&P parties but it's neat to know that they play the MCMVP too (and makes me wish I had gone to one too) I then noticed that the fellow in the center in your photo appears to be Ken who usually wears the Purple stripes in his normal role with the Dapper Dans, it started to nag at me that the guy on the left looked familiar too...then it hit me I think he's the singin Cowboy from the Diamond Horseshoe revue! (center in my photo below) if so than perhaps he has another more full time gig with the mouse too, I hope so... the folks in that show had a lot of talent and it's neat to see them in these other roles.

well it's very cool to be on a board where there is a possibility that someone would think that that story is cool, rather than the most incredibly boring, esoteric piece of triva they have ever heard... so Thank YOU for saying that!

Ok he looks familiar too...He's a Dapper Dan also...Lime green Stripes, I found his name in an old trip report on mine he's Chad, in fact the picture I found of Chad has the other Dapper Dan that is in Rusty Cutlass in it too (Ken)
