LOL!

What do you want to know?

You are dealing with 2 parks, instead of 4. They are within very short walking distance of each other, so no buses.

On-property doesn't have the same meaning there. You can be on-property, but you can be just as close 'off property'.

Unless you are doing other things in So.Cal, you don't need a car.

DCA is going through a lot of change right now - lots of construction walls are up. I still recommend spending time there, its a great park.

Disneyland is the original - its smaller, compact, but filled with goodness!

Hmmm, got any questions?

Right now the plan is...
Leaving Chicago June 8 am arrive at LAX and go to DL
3 days, two nights at DL and DCA then LA for the rest

This is the longest that I can get out of my wife as she wants to see LA as she has never been there and I'm the Disney nut in the family. Is this enough to relax thru the park or do I need a touring plan?

I have a sister who lives in LA and this is where Logan wanted to spend his post-BarMitzvah trip.

Still looking for a hotel. I will have a car as the LA part of the trip will need one but still looking for a hotel close by. I did ask Paul Barrie about hotels and he recommended Hotwire to save $$.

Any other things that I need to know other than eating lunch at Blue Bayou.

3 full days? With the construction at DCA, you should be okay. Longer hours in June will make that easier.

Just remember that some attractions are not fastpass as they are in WDW (ie Toy Story Midway Mania). If you get there first thing, you'll be fine. Longest wait I've seen for that ride is 45 minutes - nothing like WDW.

Yes, Paul usually does recommend HotWire. I don't know if it works the same as Priceline - once you commit, you're in for good. I've never been comfortable with a "no-cancellation" policy. Anyway, most any of the hotels on those couple blocks of Harbor Blvd would be within walking distance. Also hotels on Katella. You've got a car, but parking can be $$.

Yes, lunch at Blue Bayou is a good thing!

As with any Disney park, enjoy and explore the details. Small World, Space Mountain, California Screamin', and of course Pirates - all not to be missed.
