What is MouseFest?

For many years, Disney fans from around the world have gathered at Walt Disney World in December. These like-minded folks connect through Disney-related web sites and message boards to share their love of the Most Magical Place on Earth. This year, like last year, our event encompasses a great many of these fan groups... a gathering that unites the enormous family of Disney enthusiasts from all walks of life, from all backgrounds, from all over the country, from all over the globe! MouseFest is an unofficial event; it is not organized by nor endorsed by Walt Disney World.

History

MouseFest officially began in 2003 bringing Disney fans from around the world together. Over the last few years, hundreds of Disney fans from all over the world participated in the annual MouseFest events. In 2006, more than 2000 vacationers attended at least one MouseFest meet, with 280 folks cruising with us on the fourth annual MouseFest Cruise. We weclomed Disney friends from eight different countries and nearly all 50 of the United States! In addition, more than 30 unofficial Disney web site representatives and unofficial WDW guidebook authors attended a variety of get-togethers throughout the week, most notably the huge Mega Mouse Meet held Saturday, December 9. More than 500 Disney-lovers stopped in at the Mega Mouse Meet, visiting with the webmasters and authors they have read for years, as well as meeting up with others just like them from other Internet communities, many meeting in person for the first time friends they had made in cyberspace.

MouseFest was an offshoot of the annual RADP (rec.arts.disney.parks) community meet, which had traditionally met each December at Walt Disney World, beginning in 1996.

Autograph Book Function Now Open For Members

Posted: September 25th, 2007

The Autograph Book function is now live, and it will change the way Mouse Guest Members explore MouseGuest.com. As you tour the Magic Kingdom, the pointing white glove icons indicate where character meet and greets are held. Click on this icon, and you may be lucky enough to get a virtual photo and autograph of a character. Once members meet a character, the virtual photo and autograph are saved in the Autograph Book, which is accessed via the link on the right side toolbar.

Some characters are harder to find than others, so it will be a fun challenge to collect all of the autographs. The characters change throughout the day (and sometimes go on break!), so keep checking back. You'll never know who you can find!

Also, the Members Only forum on the Mouse Guest Message Boards will be a terrific resource to help members fill up their Autograph Book. All Mouse Guest Members have access to the private Members Only forum, as well as an exclusive Member icon in their profile.

Not a member of the boards? What are you waiting for? Head over to http://www.mouseguest.com/phpBB2/index.php and sign up for an account today!

Look for more of the coming soon features to be launched as fast as possible!
